Mridusmita Das Bora has been a practitioner of Sattriya Dance form since her childhood and is also the receiptent of the National Award for the same style of dancing. Native of Tezpur, Mridusmita grew up seeing her Mother Ajanta Das and Father Dwijen Das's fondness towards Sattriya and the monasteries.
After her Schooling from The Assam Valley School, she graduated in sociology from The Lady Shri Ram College, New Delhi and did her Masters in Politics with specialization in International Relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. At present she is persuing her PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
Professional Experience
- Performed “Arengatram” in Bharat Natyam in the year 2003, under Guru Indira P.P. Bora.
- Learnt Sattriya from 1996-1998 under Guru Bhuban Bora.
- Joined Nartan Kala Niketan for Sattriya dance under Guru Ramkrishna Talukdar since 1999.

- Interviewed and performed in documentaries for PPC programs of Doordarshan
- Interviewed and performed for a documentary under Public Service Broadcasting Trust (PSBT) with support from Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
